Take Comfort in the highest levels of performance, efficiency and savings with an ultimate Heritage Hybrid comfort system. Featuring cost-effective two-stage cooling and three-stage heating, it runs at an energy-saving capacity in every season, and in winter it virtually eliminates short cycling and temperature swings. Variable speed blowers and our exclusive Comfort-R technology also provide quieter startups and shutdowns, more even temperatures throughout your home and greater humidity control during cooling.
An American Standard Heritage Hybrid Comfort System pairs a gas furnace with an electric heat pump. This innovative combination allows you to choose from two sources of heating in order to respond to fluctuations in utility costs – for substantial savings year after year.
In winter a heat pump uses electricity to capture the heat that is always present in the outside air and pumps it back into your home, while a furnace burns natural gas to heat the indoor air. With a Heritage Hybrid comfort system, the best heating option is selected according to weather conditions and utility prices. To ensure cost-effectiveness, we will determine when your system should automatically switch from electric to gas heat. However, you may also use a programmable Thermostat Control to run your system in the most economical fashion.
While your Heritage Hybrid comfort system can help provide greater savings on your heating bills, the components also work together to bring you effective, efficient cooling. In the summer the heat pump functions as an air conditioner, pulling the heat out of your home and releasing it outdoors. In addition, the electric fan blower in the furnace helps circulate cool air from the heat pump throughout your home.
When you choose an American Standard Heritage Hybrid comfort system, you can enjoy consistent, affordable comfort all year long. Your Heritage Hybrid comfort system is a “matched system” in and of itself. But by installing additional American Standard components, each of which has been designed and engineered to work seamlessly together, you can achieve a total comfort effect that is greater than the sum of its parts. There is simply no better way to create your ideal home environment.
A common matched Heritage Hybrid comfort system includes:
You have more important things to do than worry about the efficiency of your home’s heating & cooling system; that’s why the AccuLink communicating system works behind the scenes for you. This special technology is built into specific American Standard products, allowing them to “communicate” with each other. These interfaces allow components in your air conditioning and heating system to be automatically and properly charged, configured and calibrated – not just during installation but throughout the life of your investment. With the efficiency and effectiveness of the system maintained at a high level, you get the sustained reliability and peak performance you expect from American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning.
SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) are measures of efficiency for heat pumps. SEER and HSPF ratings are like miles per gallon in cars – the higher the rating, the more energy efficient the unit and the more money you save. All American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning systems satisfy or exceed minimum government SEER and HSPF standards.
Your investment in an American Standard Heritage Hybrid system is well protected, with limited warranties on the heat exchanger, compressor and functional parts. Optional Extended Warranties are also available. Extended Warranties can pay for labor and other costs not covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty. Ask for full warranty information at time of purchase.
Advanced Air Systems, Inc., a highly trained professional contractor with years of experience, will work with you every step of the way in choosing the system that’s right for you – from walking you through the entire purchasing process to conducting an in-depth analysis of your home and your comfort needs. Based on that information, we will recommend a heating and/or air conditioning system that works best for your home. After all, the more efficient the system, the more comfortable you’ll be.
